It is really important that when you are dealing with an estate agent, you are receiving the highest service possible on a professional level as well as having the confidence that your agent will manage your investments in your best interests. So we chose to become a voluntary member of Propertymark, the UK’s leading professional body for estate agents, to ensure that one of the biggest choices in your life, can be taken with confidence and assurance.

Joining this regulated body, enables us to demonstrate transparency and ensure that Emma’s Properties are at the forefront of developments in the industry and by using a Propertymark Protected member you are guaranteed to be consulting with a professional who will give you up-to-date advice and guidance.

Complaints

Propertymark members must follow specific membership rules that set a higher standard than the law demands
and in the event of a member breaching code of conduct, can arrange disciplinary, or appeal hearings. During the hearing, an independent tribunal panel considers the case and places sanctions if they find the agent has breached their rules.

Insurance

As a Propertymark member, we are registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) who uphold information rights in the publics interest. In addition, we are of course, registered with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for Anti-Money Laundering supervision.

Client Money Protection

CMP is a scheme that reimburses landlords and tenants should a letting agent misappropriate their rent, deposit or other client funds. It has long been a requirement for Propertymark members to have CMP and has been a legal requirement for all letting agents since 1 April 2019. Our accounts are inspected annually, and CMP ensures your money is protected.
